Jasmine Schlafke is an activist and poet committed to ending silence in her community. She is the National Jefferson awardee for both 2000 and 2003 for her commitment to activism in the queer community and is the Good Times best poet in Santa Cruz for 2013. She has represented Santa Cruz Nationally at the National Poetry Slam in both 2011 and 2013 and serves as a lead diversity trainer for both the University Santa Cruz at California and Planned Parenthood. Jasmine’s tag line is ‘my humanity is my ministry’ and she looks forward to sharing her truth with you soon.
