The Book of Obama: From Hope and Change to the Age of Revolt w/cartoonist TED RALL

Friday, June 8, 2012 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join nationally syndicated cartoonist and writer Ted Rall as he presents his newest release, “The Book of Obama: From Hope and Change to the Age of Revolt”

When crowds of hopeful citizens embraced the “Yes We Can” campaign, did we ever stop to think that we were being deluded, not by Obama, but by our entire system? Syndicated columnist and political cartoonist Ted Rall’s “The Book of O(bama”) awakens us to the root of our crisis: a political and economic system that is broken beyond repair.

From the beginnings of Obama’s popular campaign to his downfall in the polls, from the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya to the rise of the Tea Party and the Occupy Movement, two-time Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award winner TedRall’s comments and satirical cartoons reflect the frustrations of the American people and argue that the first step towards lasting change is accepting that change won’t be possible within our current capitalist system.
